Do I enter my child's wages, interest income, dividends, Social Security benefits, etc. on my tax return?

Do not enter any of your children's income on your tax return. Typically, children do not need to file a separate tax return because their income is not high enough. See Chart B  from the Form 1040 instructions for details on if your child's income is high enough to file a tax return.

If your child does need to file a tax return, then the child's income needs to be reported on their own separate tax return.
