If you haven't e-filed or mailed your return yet, you can just sign in to your account and make the changes that you need to make.
If you have filed your return, sign in to your account and make sure your return was accepted by the IRS. If the return was rejected by the IRS, you can make any corrections and changes you need and then e-file the return again.
If the IRS accepts your tax return, then you'll need to do an amended tax return to make changes to your original tax return. Sign in to your account and click the Amend Tax Return link from the Account menu in the top right. We'll help you prepare your federal and state amended tax returns.
