After I file my tax return, what do I do with my W-2, 1099-R, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc.?

If you e-file your tax return, simply keep your W-2 and 1099 forms for your records and don't mail the IRS anything.

If you print and mail in your tax return, attach a copy of your W-2s, W-2Gs, and 1099 forms that have federal tax withheld to the front of Form 1040.
