Where do we enter interest and taxes paid for a vacation property?

Menu Path: Deductions/Credits > Itemized Deductions > Homeowner Expenses (1098)

Mortgage interest and real estate taxes for a vacation home are entered in the same place you enter mortgage interest and real estate taxes for your main home.

The IRS allows a second home to be treated just like your primary residence for deducting mortgage interest and taxes. So if you have a second property (whether it is an RV, vacation home, or house boat), the taxes and mortgage interest on that second property can usually be deducted as itemized deductions.

You can add a second Form 1098 to report the mortgage interest on a second home on the Homeowner Expenses screen.
