Where do I enter my prior year e-file PIN?

1. Go to the Menu Path: Final Steps > Step 3 - Submit Tax Return > Prior Year AGI or PIN screen.
2. Answer Yes that you filed a 2024 return. Click Save and Continue. (You may need to answer that you don't want to use the AGI we prompt you with if you're not yet seeing the question about your 2024 return.)
3. Answer No that you don't have access to your 2024 return amounts. Click Save and Continue.
4. Select the option to use your prior year e-file PIN. Click Save and Continue.
5. Enter the e-file PIN you chose last year when you e-filed your tax return.
6. Click Save and Continue through the final screens and resubmit your return.
7. If you don't have your prior year e-file PIN, you can file by mail this year here: Menu Path: Final Steps > Step 3 - Submit Tax Return > Filing Method

For Extensions Only
If you need to enter an e-file PIN for your extension, you'll follow the same steps listed above, but you'll use the screens starting here: Menu Path: Account > File an Extension > Final Steps > Prior Year AGI or PIN.
