If you moved into or out of Maryland during 2025 (with or without your spouse)
AND received taxable Maryland income both while you were a resident and while you were a nonresident
AND you are required to file a federal return, you are required to file two (both resident and nonresident) returns with the State of Maryland. You'll need to create another account to file both Maryland returns using FreeTaxUSA. Be sure to file your federal return on only one account.
If you are filing a joint federal return and
separate Maryland returns and there is Maryland income from periods of residency and nonresidence for either, you may need an account to file a joint federal return, an account to file a separate resident Maryland return, and an account to file a separate nonresident Maryland return.
