For which students can I claim the South Carolina Tuition Credit?

You can claim the credit for tuition paid to a South Carolina college or university for yourself, your spouse if your filing status is Married Filing Jointly, or for someone you are eligible to claim as a dependent (such as your child or someone else you are the legal guardian of). You can't claim this credit for a student who does not meet these requirements, even if you paid their tuition.
