How can I cancel my Illinois direct debit payment?

To cancel your Illinois direct debit payment, you must email your request to REV.taxpay@illinois.gov no later than 11:59 PM CT two business days before the scheduled payment date and include ALL of the following information:
  • Your first and last name
  • Your Illinois PIN OR the last 4 digits of your Social Security number (SSN)
  • Your mailing address
  • Your phone number
  • Specify that you are requesting to CANCEL your payment
  • Exact dollar amount of the scheduled payment
  • Scheduled payment date (Month, Day and Year)
