What is an eligible census tract for the Alternative Fuel Credit?

For the Alternative Fuel Credit, an eligible census tract is any census tract that:

• Is NOT in an urban area, or
• If it is in an urban area the census tract must:
  • Have a poverty rate of at least 20%
    or
  • Have a median family income less than 80% of the state median family income.
    or
  • Have a median family income less than the median metropolitan area median family income.
