Can I change payment bank information on an amended return?

No. If you have an amount due and need to change your bank account information, you'll need to call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 888-353-4537 to cancel your payment. Your request must be received no later than 11:59 pm ET two business days prior to the scheduled payment date, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling. After cancelling, go to the IRS website to choose another payment method.
