What are Louisiana tax payments? What do I enter on this screen?

Louisiana tax payments are non-withholding payments made to the Louisiana Department of Revenue prior to filing the 2014 return. You'll need to enter these payments you've made here in order to get credit for them on your Louisiana return. The following payments can be entered on this screen:

  • Amounts credited from your 2013 return.
  • Estimated tax payments you made for 2014. (Form IT-540ES)
  • Amount paid with extension requests.
Do NOT enter any amount of your 2014 Louisiana income tax withheld by your employer(s) as shown on any wage or tax statements. These amounts have already been credited.
